Stories Behind the Brands We Proudly Carry
G&L GUITARS: Many people do not know G&L is a company that was started by Leo Fender and George Fullerton ("G" stands for George and "L" stands for Leo), the same two men who first brought us famous Fender guitars in the 1950s. Some people think G&L guitars and basses are merely clones of those instruments that today bear Leo's last name. Nothing could be further from the truth. Every G&L guitar and bass is actually a refinement of its predecessor. In fact, you will find more of the Spirit of Leo Fender in a G&L guitar or bass than you will in instruments produced after he sold his original company. That's because G&Ls are still made the same old-fashioned way as Leo's original instruments. They are produced in the original Fender manufacturing plant using much of the original tooling. To get the same level of hands-on work that goes into every G&L, you need to hire out the custom shop at Leo's first company. Read more about the HISTORY OF G&L on company's official website. HERITAGE GUITARS:
Heritage
Guitars is located at 225 Parsons Street in Kalamazoo Michigan and was formed
shortly after Gibson moved their production to Nashville, Tennessee. The
Heritage Guitar factory is the original Gibson plant and the Heritage owners
and employees are mostly old Gibson luthiers and executives. Heritage guitars
are still hand made in the same tradition, and by the same experienced hands,
and using many of the same machines and tools as the vintage Gibson
instruments. Each instrument is hand made to order by skilled craftsmen with
decades of guitar building experience. When you buy a new Heritage guitar, you
are buying a guitar that is made exactly as the highly sought after vintage
instruments from the late '50s! Like their predecessor instruments, Heritage
guitars are finished with old-school nitrocellulose lacquer. The high level of
hands-on attention at Heritage produces instruments of a quality equal to, and
in many cases better, the best-of-the-best, high-end pieces that Gibson produces today in
its custom shop. Learn more about these fine, handcrafted US-made guitars by

Guitars official website.
